I have had my last three babies, out of four delivered by Birthright and it has been such a wonderful experience. I find pregnancy really hard and have had C-sections with all three, which I also find hard and scary. The whole team is amazing. Passionate, with patient centric care and incredibly skilled at what they do. I have felt empowered and listened to each time. They have looked after me and my babies so incredibly well and really made challenging and scary times feel doable. I am so grateful. I wish every parent could have the experience of being cared for by them.
Can’t speak highly enough of Birthright. All of the obstetricians were amazing to deal with, super informative and caring. After going through IVF and being high risk we knew from the first appointment we were in safe hands. Dr Olivia Stuart delivered our twin boys via elective c section and we can’t speak highly enough of her. Right from us entering her room in the hospital she was professional and super excited for us. This followed on throughout the c section and after it was over my partner made comment that she was as excited as we were and her passion shined through. Thank you Dr for safely bringing our twin boys into this world we can never thank you enough
I’m just going to type an unprofessional rant here as I can’t be bothered to give the courtesy of a decent review due to the rude and pretentious receptionist. It’s hard when she’s the one clients have to deal with when there are any issues or when we need to make/amend bookings. The obstetricians are lovely but the older receptionist with very short grey hair is, to put it bluntly, a nasty old wannabe, stuck up cow without any social skills. What my mother in-law would call an “artificial” woman. You know, the ones who try to act like they come from high society but end up coming across as stuck up and trying too hard. People from high society don’t act like that! Have some grace. We as the clients are the ones paying good money for this service. What right do you have to behave like this? To treat us like second class citizens? Speaking to us like we are stupid? You’re the RECEPTIONIST!
Had very bad experience with birthright and Auckland hospital, don’t want to memorize the tragedy and detail here. Expensive private fees but no respective service, not worth.
Each of the ob/gyns here are approachable, informative and really good at what they do! I was having my third baby and the first time with an obstetrician and I can say it was definitely worth it. They make you feel at ease and feel confident that they are there to help you take the lead in planning your birth. And I felt so at ease knowing that if there were any complications they would have the experience and expertise to take care of me and my baby. Thank you again
I completely disagree with the review below. I'm currently in my second pregnancy and Birthright has been my LMC throughout both pregnancies. The care I've had has been exceptional. My first pregnancy was complicated and I firmly believe my little boy had the best outcome possible thanks to the amazing doctors who looked after us. I'm due to give birth to my second son in the next few weeks, with peace of mind, knowing that once again we're in excellent hands.
Absolutely outstanding service. After giving birth to my first son, and seeing the difference it made going through Birthright vs the public system, I wouldn’t have it any other way. My delivery was flawless and every hiccup along the way was reassured. I now have a healthy 6 week old and truly believe I wouldn’t be here without them. All the doctors and midwives have been amazing, they are all very caring and made sure the experience I had was top of the line. Thanks again for dealing with all my crazy becoming a first time mother, hope to see you again!
We had our son in Oct 2018 and loved the entire experience from start to end. Each of the obstetricians is informative, patient and highly skilled. We had Dr Mahesh Harilal deliver our son via C-section and have only the most positive things to say about him. He was incredible, went above and beyond every step of the way and we are grateful to have been in such wonderful hands for the entire pregnancy. I would highly recommend.
We have had a fantastic experience with Birthright and met most of the staff there now. They are all fantastic, however we have to call out Dr Mahesh Harilall who is absolutely OUTSTANDING. He is a man of action, very thorough, fills in all the gaps and provides plenty of information even things you never think of. Olivia Smith was our saving grace after a long labour sent us into theatre and got the job done. Olivia was also our Dr for the implanting of the embryo so it really came full circle. She is super caring, easy to deal with and a fantastic Dr. We are so, so happy with the care from all the Doctors and mid-wives and staff. It has been a pleasure dealing with them and we are so in love with our new baby boy. Thank you so very much. Christian, Mark, Aleisha and Frankie xx FYI - tip for those with health insurance. If your insurance anniversary falls between your pregnancy, you can claim twice.
My specialist who planed the abdomen for me like a magician. It took 39 minutes from entering the delivery room to exiting delivery room.All of them did a fantastic work during my pregnancy !
