"Birdwoods is a delightful and surprising place to visit and well worth the 3km drive from Havelock North Village. It offers Early Bird Espresso coffees from 7.30am most mornings, an old-fashioned sweet shop, a beautiful eclectic gallery, a popular garden cafe set in a manicured garden and a large collection of stone sculptures. There is something for everyone and a place where everything has a story. Established in 2004 Birdwoods has become a 'must do' attraction in Hawke's Bay. Come and see for yourself. Enjoyed our time here. I had poached eggs on sourdough with a hash brown and bacon. My friend selected salmon with mushrooms. Topped off with a hot choc and chai latte. The garden is lovely and you can pop into the authentic sweetie shop if you wish.Food: 5/5
We recently held a baby shower using the garden room. While the birdwoods is a wonderful place to visit on any occasion, the service and presentation for this event blew me away. The staff were fantastic, the food glorious, the setting stunning. I would 100% do it all again.Food: 5/5
Loved visiting Birdswoods. We had a delicious cake and perculated coffee that we enjoyed. Their barista was away because of covid. I loved the gallery, my husband bought himself a hat. The walk around the garden isn't to be missed as plenty of interesting sculptures to see. I recommend a visit here.
Such a lovely place to visit while in Hawks Bay. Comfy vibe inside out. Foods are all delicious. Can spend quite a lot of time scrolling around the sculpture garden.Food: 5/5
Beautiful gardens, good food and coffee. The shop has lots of fun and interesting curios and art from Africa. We were told by a friend to try the French press coffee, but these weren't available over the summer holidays unfortunately - hopefully next time. Nevertheless we had a very lovely lunch at birdwoods.Food: 5/5
. Birdwoods has something to offer everyone. There is a gallery, café a beautiful sculpture garden, and an old school sweet shop The Gallery features New Zealand and African art and crafts including textiles, collectables, furniture, jewellery, basketry and ceramics The food looked and smelled amazing. They also offered caninet food like delicious cakes, scones, with tea and espresso coffee Bookings are essential. Unfortunately I was turned away, or had a very long wait because I didn't book The Sculpture Garden is quite expansive and displays works by acclaimed stone sculptors, as well as artists using recycled material The Sweet Shop allows you to take a step back in time, selling hundreds ofold fashioned sweets from my childhood

Visited when Birdwoods had the garden BBQ event, loved the setting. Beautiful gardens, plenty of shaded tables. Brilliant idea of the garden BBQ and help yourself salad. The meat filling was filled in the bread. Have heard of the nice iced chocbut wasn't available. My choice to score a 4 due to wanting to try the day to day food drink. Give it a go , you can with your furry friend! Kid-friendliness: Plenty of activities, from tree swings to featured gardens
Beautiful spot to have lunch or morning tea with friends or family. Heaps of room for the kids to play, even bring your well behaved pooch for alfresco dining. Best scones and cakes- highly rated by our elderly folk. Service was a bit muddled today long weekend so we were waiting for a while even tho those who arrived after us had been served. But other than that it's a fabulous spot with everything you need for a memorable time in the HB.
Lovely county cafe with impressive sculpture's dottered around the place All for sale. Great easy parking. Very friendly atmosphere. Fantastic ice cream shop as you first walk in! Get one after the meal! Need to go to place for a pleasant day out!Food: 4/5
