Amazing pebbled beach with smooth stones along the whole length of the beach. Look carefully and there are all sorts of lovely stones to find. Only spoiled by the digger and the obvious quarrying on part of the beach.

Blue Ocean, tones of rocks to collect but unfortunately, no swimming. Still worth a visit.
Awesome shingle beach good for fishing. Not safe for swimming but has a good children's play ground and public toilets.

Was a magical place visited here to scatter ashes an it couldn't be more perfect
Got stuck in the stones. Big thanks to young woman on the other side and the ranger for their huge support to some old ladies and bigger thanks to the towing expert who towed us. We appreciated their kind attitude and respect.
Lovely collection but selling broken paua at $5 then the rest of the shell broken pieces for $2 a piece was a shocking price..as the full shells, undamaged & polished elsewhere average $10.. Also, quite often it's closed, and the old man has been grumpy every time I have been in, over the years. Not exactly encouraging a return visit
