Tucked away on Karaka Bay, this gallery belonging to Artist Cornelia Craig offers a unique location for art and exploration.
Nestled amongst Pohutukawa trees and overlooking the sparkling waters of KARAKA BAY, is the BIRDHOUSE GALLERY. It might be the smallest gallery in town, but it has the feel of quiet and sincerity like any other. It is the newest enterprise of CORNELIA CRAIG KONING, a prominent Glendowie artist. She created the gallery to showcase her own art- painting, sculpture, drawing and installation, and also to give other local artists an opportunity to exhibit their work in the neighbourhood.
Currently showing: “THE SPACE BETWEEN” ,a delicate installation of light and glass… With a radical twist. The conclusion of this work will be a breathtaking public performance art piece in February.
