Planet Bike is a small, friendly company, based in the action packed centre of the North Island - Rotorua! We've been renting out mountain bikes for hire in the Redwoods for years.

Story

Our bike fleet comprises quality mountain bikes, 27 speed with alloy frame, disc brakes and front suspension. Professionally maintained. Full suspensions also available

Our staff are trained to select the appropriate bike size for each individual. An overview of the bikes operation, basic riding techniques and best practices will be provided. A recommendation on where to ride can help mountain bikers find the trail which best suits their skill level.

Mountain Bike Rotorua, up the road shut, despite google saying it was open, and someone pointed us in this direction. If it wasn't for them we would have missed out on mountain biking. Staff gave us a good briefing, and checked we had the right bikes for our heights and weights. Good service. If we go MB again, we will come back here.
As newbies to the mountain bike scene we stopped in for a look. Got a welcoming guy there with all the info we needed to hit the trails & have a great time. And we didnt even buy anything. Big ups to these guys. Outstanding!
Best mountain biking in the North Island! I hired a well maintained full suspension mountain bike from Planet Bike and had great fun. They also have eBikes if you want to go further and faster

Great coffee n good stop off either before you kick off or before you exit th forest off the end of Waipa road

Great lil big independant bike shop, right on the edge of the Redwoods trail system! Large fleet of bikes, including top of the line electric MTBs that'll have you ripping up trails without getting exhausted.
