Great service from Big Al’s for our ski trip to Mt Hutt this week. New skis & boots for a good price , and a no quibble refund for unused days when Hutt closed for bad weather. 100% would use again.
The team here saved our holiday Sounds to Sounds bikepacking by installing a new bottom bracket on my complex/bespoke Van Nicholas Pioneer. They didn't baulk at belt drive nor eccentric bottom bracket sleeve. Neither the weekend nor the holiday season got in the road of them getting us back on the road within 24hr. Amazing service and skill, for which I'm very grateful. Thanks!
We have been skiing and renting boots and ski gears for around 10 years across New Zealand, Europe, Australia and Japan, my two children all voted that our rental experience especially the boots from Big Als are of the most comfortable and most prestigious conditions ever across the globe!!! The lady in the shop is so knowledgeable and knows all about skiing conditions/routes and storage on the Mt Hutt mountain, if you want to ski at Mt Hutt and want to rent ski gears this shop is a hidden gem !!!

Great place for rentals.nnTheir stuff is better quality and same or cheaper priced than up the mountain.nnAnd you avoid the chaos of on mountain renting when you are just trying to get on the snow.nnStaff are very helpful. Thanks guys.
