Mission

Better World Adventures was created to offer high-quality international volunteer abroad expeditions for New Zealand senior high school students. The students on these adventures are directly involved in sustainable grassroots humanitarian and wildlife conservation projects in developing countries, in partnership with renowned and credible volunteer organisations.

Better World Adventures programmes are affordable, with an all-inclusive cost structure that eliminates financial surprises and enables as many students as possible to participate.

Better World Adventures itineraries are designed to facilitate cultural interaction and humanitarian experiences through volunteering and are of a duration that enables a lasting bond to be forged between the volunteering students and those they help.

Better World Adventures programme destinations have a genuine need for charitable assistance, the ability to provide a range of new life skills, and offer geographically unique travel experiences.

Better World Adventures students live and volunteer in local settlements, interacting directly with people who share similar values. Such experiences are proven catalysts for positive personal growth in young people. Participating students discover that they are part of a community of global citizens whose individual actions can make a lasting impact on the lives of people less fortunate than themselves.

It is the responsibility of Better World Adventures to take care of the volunteer’s placement, traveling, accommodation, meals and security, ensuring that each participating student is able to get the maximum out of the program they choose.
