Really great, family friendly park. Our kids had loads of fun and we enjoyed our stay. Sites are large, plenty of shade, and staff are friendly and helpful. Facilities are always spotless as they clean many times a day and the kitchen is large enough to accomodate everyone. Plenty of fridges and freezers also which was great.nnThe only things I would improve are: not allowing smoking at sites and drinking alcohol in the kitchen - especially since it is right next to the playground. Our family didn't enjoy smelling cigarette smoke while eating and playing - smoking should be done off site, especially given its so hot and people are dropping their cigarette butts on the ground which is a fire hazard waiting to happen.nnSecondly, my wife was extremely uncomfortable with the women's bathroom doors always being locked open, meaning men walking past were regularly looking inside. No matter how many times she and other women closed the door, staff would lock it open. My wife said numerous women were very uncomfortable with this. If it's a H&S issue of the door opening into the hallway, perhaps block the hallway and ask men to walk to their bathrooms around the other side. Similarly for men, it's just weird to have all the doors open for anyone to see your business.nnOther than that, this is a really great and well managed park.
Stayed a couple nights to catch up with friends. Didnt rate the rooms as we stayed in our motorhome. It’s dog friendly most of the year because of Summer. Is a lovely big holiday park, lots to keep the kids busy, is Family oriented. Caters for holidaymakers, permanents & winter stay overs…there’s also room/parks for boats.nClean, well laid out & quiet. Close to great beaches, cafes etc just a really lovely place. Highly recommended!
It's an absolutely wonderful campsite. We first stayed a few nights in their self-contained units on top of the hill a few months ago, which were brilliant - clean, spacious, comfortable, warm, and quiet. Stunning views and close to the amazing Kaiteriteri beach.nnWe are now camping in a tent on a powered site and still love it! Great facilities, good size sites, and although the campground is packed, you can still find plenty of space and views.nnWith a playground, bike track, volleyball area, and 2 fields, as well as a water slide on site, there is plenty to do. Additionally, they have a coffee and an ice-cream cart, which means you don't need to leave the campsite to stand in long queues for ice cream.nnIt's only a short walk to the amazing Kaiteriteri Beach, making it the perfect campground. A bonus is that staff are incredibly nice and very helpful. Having traveled around NZ and the world, I'm very impressed with Bethany Campground.
The sections for caravans are the smallest we have seen in our 25 years of camping full of mud and very wet the road is very narrow and doesn't allow you to get onto the site with other vans parked to use all their section fully
Absolutely stunning grounds and amenities. The staff are friendly and approachable and do an amazing job keeping the camp looking fantastic. Two great walks to the shops , good location. Highly recommend as the place to stay in Kaiteriteri
