I live the espresso at BE Specialty Espresso Bar in Fort Street. They still serve the best coffee in the CBD with friendly staff on hand to take your order!
Pretty busy in the morning time, but really worth it. Black americano was amazing, and raspberry tarte was adorable combination! Staff is welcomming and smiley. Really nice stop in busy environment
Best coffee in town. Their coffee tasted so good, very fruity and aromatic. Friendly staff and great ambience.
We got a latte and a flat white and they were great, although coffee can be pretty subjective. The kids also enjoyed their hot chocolates. The store has a fun, clean vibe with an interesting coffee machine. The staff were great and efficient.
I recommend buying beans here if you have an espresso machine! I can always find a bag within a week of the roast date and the house blend has been so good I have a hard time trying the other blends. Always a good problem to have :]
I've been on a quest to find New Zealand's best espresso cafe since arriving from UK. Who would have thought UK was superior or maybe it's just the fact I know where the good cafes are?. Anyway, I've been largely disappointed with the lattes here; all style over substance atamost places but I stumbled upon BE a few weeks ago and my latte delivered. Well textured milk but the espresso did the talking and cut through and delivered a punch and flavour. it was one of the best I've had so far. Most lattes I've had here are drowned by the milk and have been bland. BE are clearly doing something right, probably the freshness of the beans and skill of the Batistas. Keep it up.
Despite the unassuming and intimate premises, Ben Cafe has probably the best and most consistent baristas in Auckland. Their flat whites are second to none in aroma, presentation and taste, in part due to roasting their own beans, and the numerous barista awards hanging on the walls. This is a world class coffee destination that any coffee snob worth their crema must visit.
The coffee tastes very nice, and service is good as well. By the way, I lost a camera bag there, and Ben is so nice that he sent the bag to the hotel I stayed for free! Thank you Ben! Chang
Ok place and if your preference is black coffee I am sure it's great. Being a milky coffee drinker it was not the place for me.
