Story

BELMONT BOARDING KENNELS, CATTERY and DOG GROOMING SERVICE is situated 5 minutes from Central Wanganui yet in a rural environment. Our facility is set in a country garden setting. NO BOREDOM HERE. The dogs, due to the kennel situation, are part of a very social atmosphere with the comings and goings of clients, the view from their kennels of other animals grazing in the fields opposite and the golfers to and from the Wanganui Golf Course (Belmont) at the end of Clarkson Avenue. We, Euan & Jenny Smith have owned and operated Belmont Kennels for 24 years and built our Cattery 17 years ago. In that time we have met many fabulous dogs, cats and their dedicated owners.

Dogs and Cats must be formally booked to stay with us prior to arrival date . EXCEPTIONS:- EMERGENCIES day or night. All Dogs must have current vaccinations inclusive of Bordetella and Leptospirosis. All dogs must be flea’d and wormed with Veterinary approved medications.

All Cats must have current vaccinations and be flea’d and wormed with Veterinary approved medications. All other requirements are covered in our comprehensive Booking Form.

PLEASE BRING YOUR Vaccination Book with you at time of arrival. We will not accept dogs or cats without at first sighting the current Vaccination Certificate.
