Bellies in Bloom Midwifery comprises five Hutt Valley based registered midwives, Therese Jordan, Lisa Scrimshaw, Jaime Walsh, Elyse Castelyn Hall and Marnie Anderson who have all completed a high quality four year midwifery degree. Our training included a blend of on-line, face to face, and intense practical experience which has given us a midwifery qualification that is recognised worldwide.
We work in partnership with women throughout the maternity experience, to give them support, care and advice during pregnancy, labour and the postpartum period up to six weeks. We work individually as health practitioners, but support each other and provide back-up for required time off. You may meet all of us throughout your pregnancy as we work closely together to provide the best possible care that is individualised, flexible, empowering and supportive, with safety being of utmost importance. We work in collaboration with doctors, obstetricians, lactation consultants, paediatricians and other health professionals when required. We provide informed choice & consent with all aspects of care, and centre you “the woman” as our focus. We also offer free pregnancy tests.
