Off the beaten path on a very quiet street. The service and food are both incredible. Probably some of the best I had in France. We originally wanted to do a starter + main but the couple next to us were in the midst of their tasting menu and their enthusiastic response to each course convinced us to do that as well. Everything we had during the meal was sublime and the service was very attentive. There is an Asian fusion inspiration behind the dishes but I think it's very much still what I'd call French cuisine.
What an unforgettable meal we had here! Came for the 3 course lunch and it was the best food we had during our visit in Paris. Absolutely incredible food! My only regret is not taking a photo of the menu to remember all the ingredients from each dish. My husband still raves about the dessert as the best dessert of his life. Great service and ambiance. Highly recommend this place.
Wonderful tasting menu that contained some starter bites, a lovely trout dish, a pork dish, a starter grain dish, and two lovely desserts. Service was outstanding as were the natural wine recommendations and non/alcoholic drink options. Quiet street and a beautiful space with colorful art. One of the best meals I had on this trip to Paris!
Unassuming and very welcoming, this restaurant is an absolute hit. The tasting menu which is regularly refreshed and a mystery to you when you order is astounding. Not "ok" or "good" but simply incredible. Great value. I've added pictures to give you an idea of how good the food is.
Kitchen Galerie Bis - ④ ́ - William Ledeuil stands out for his flawless use of Asian flavors. Martin Maumet, the chef of restaurant KGB has successfully demonstrated this conviction, and I have to admit that was one of my best meals of 2020. Its prime location next to Saint Germain des Prés & Notre Dame de Paris could scream for bitter prices, but with the flavor bombs that we had, this is an excellent lunch deal in the area. I’ll definitely go back to try his Michelin starred restaurant - Ze Kitchen Galerie : The lunch offer at 36 euros - available only on weekdays. Zors d'oeuvres hit me hard, then the pasta with soft shell crab blown me away until the delicate dessert caught me on the ground. : Wine is a bit expensive though :
We went into this restaurant with high expectations due to it being on the Michelin Guide for 2022. We got there right as dinner service started, so the restaurant was rather empty. However, this did not cause for faster service; rather, it was the opposite. We ordered the 5-course tasting menu, and there were times where we were waiting 10+ minutes between courses. As dinnertime went on, the restaurant filled, and by the end of our meal, we had to wait 30 minutes to get our check while actively trying to flag a waiter down. Also, they charged us €7 per bottle of water. As for the food, none of us were particularly impressed. The starter of 3 different dishes was unique with fancy-sounding ingredients, but the flavors were muted. I will have to say that the trout dish was particularly tasty, and I did enjoy the ginger vinaigrette, but the other two dishes were just okay. As for the second course, we had no clue what it was. We tried asking multiple times for the server to help explain what it was we were eating, and due to a language barrier and maybe some impatience, we ended up noting it was a "green grain with cuttlefish and Italian spice". This dish was okay; nothing spectacular. The third and fourth courses that followed also echoed the same notes as before, with the food being good, and nothing further. However, the one thing they did phenomenally well was the dessert. My entire group and I were extremely impressed by the technique of the dessert-maker and the flavors incorporated into the final course of the meal. The sorbet tasted extremely fresh, and the accompanying jam tasted even more fresh. The second half of the dessert plate contained a coffee ganache that paired extremely well with the fruity first half of the dessert. The honey ice cream, chocolate biscuit, and hazelnut crumble all came together in a wonderful combination of flavors, and this dessert easily is one of the best desserts I've ever had in my life.
An amazing blend of flavours and texture. I had the tasting menu and my partner ordered a la carte. We were intrigued by the flavours and spent most of the evening trying to identify the wonderful flavours our server was very patient in answering our questions.
A classy, contemporary vibe, KGB is an absolute gem for an elevated dining experience. Had late night dinner reservations but arrived a quarter past our reserved time. We were still welcomed and seated by the host, but informed we were unable to order the tasting menu due to the time and kitchen closing. It was suggested we each order the 3 zors-d'oeuvres set and a main instead. We took the server's advice and opted for the casarecce pasta, as well as the pork dish for our mains. I don't recall the names of the zors-d'oeuvres but each one was phenomenal--refreshing, light, and sophisticatedly plated. The chef takes an innovative approach working with different flavors and fresh ingredients. For reference, the pea soup had a green curry base. An unlikely pairing, but the ingredients complimented each other so well. I would have expected an intense flavor from the curry, but it was the opposite and a pleasant surprise. As for the mains, vegetables complimented each dish and was so well prepared--the pork was tender and offered subtle Asian flavors. The pasta had a nice texture to it; and mixed with the vegetables and mussels, was unlike any combination I've had. The night would not be complete without dessert. We ordered the datte ice cream with pumpkin seed praline, orange blossom cream and candied apricots. The praline was sweet and nutty and had a macaron-like texture. Divine. Between the service, food, and atmosphere, KGB ranks high on my Paris dining list.
Casual but cozy! Dishes were tasty with a twist of Asian flavor, great service too! Oh nice/good priced wine selections too! This would be my 4th time here already
The food was exceptional! Although when you order you don’t know what you will get, since it is a suprise menu everything was perfect! Very good combination of flavours!
