Great experience walking on Ulva Island with Carley. Very informative and engaging. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Stewart Island, saw plenty of incredible birds with detailed facts. The Robins were my favourite
We went on the Ulva island tour and the kiwi spotting trip - both fantastic. Recommend doing Ulva early in your visit to Stewart island, as you will learn about the local environment and what to look out for during your stay.nKiwi spotting was an absolute highlight and worth paying to be taken to a location that is NOT accessible to the public - meaning the kiwi were very trusting and came right up to our feet. Kat was an exceptional guide that we were lucky to have on both trips. Hannah was also lovely on Ulva and Ange brilliant with the kiwi : Don’t leave it too late to book - these guys sell out in peak seasons.
Spent a fabulous morning walking with Carly on Ulver Island. We saw so many things, that I would have absolutely missed, hadnI done the walk without a guide. What a guide Carly is…. Warm, knowledgeable, friendly and hugely experienced. This was a great tour, well worth it.
Exceptional tour. Thoroughly recommend. We went with our kids aged 9, 11 & 14 at 10.45pm. Our guide was awesome - told us all about the Stewart Island Kiwi. The kids were kept engaged for just long enough - perfect length of time. Saw around 5/6 Kiwi. Super cool.
We had a great time and saw three kiwi’s. One came up to check out our group and afterwards we saw two kiwi’s playing together. Even according to our guide it was ‘wild’.nThe guide whose name we unfortunately forgot was fantastic and made the trip a really nice experience! Thanks a lot!
