Jo is great to deal with along with Ana, Faith & Cullen. Very relaxed place to stay. Facilities are always clean. Not the latest and greatest facilities but this reflects in the price. I will go back any time. The people there made may stay so enjoyable, the staff, residents and campers. Thanks Jo & Team!
We had an excellent stay at the beachgrove holiday park. staff is accommodating and very nice. has a homely atmosphere. has a lot of showers and a great kitchen space. 10/10 would recommend
The mana wāhine that runs this place, good heart on her. It’s been great staying at your whare, and the residents there were super lovely too. Being so close to the beach was also great. Facilities were all super clean, and lots of space. Thank you Ps, this was a gift to me from the owner, made by her hands with the heritage of her tapuna. Thank you, I love it
This place was not that bad, but comparing to other places I went to things could be a bit better. Internet was made available, in which management gave you 200mb per day for free via a voucher, depending on the length of stay. Kitchen was accessible but had no cooking gear or utensils, only a jug and toaster. Dish washing liquid bottles remain empty the entire time I was there. Bathroom and shower area was kept tidy and clean which was great considering the number of people using the block. Privacy, yes there was plenty of that. Only down side was a couple that were long term stayers kept on disturbing the peace with rants and verbal jargon, and at one stage entire wardrobes were being hurled out the door near my tent. No one from management came to tell them to stop..
Great campsite! Super good value, with hot showers and 200mb wifi per night per person. Kitchen with stove tops, oven, microwave, toaster, jug, fridge and freezer. Clean facilities and friendly long term tenants always up for a chat. Management was very flexible and accommodating and at just $10 a night you won't get a better deal in the bay of plenty.
My campsite was also double booked so I had to share the space which is already tiny with another van. Told the reception the next morning and didn’t even get an apology. Kitchen is way too crowded, there’s no space for anything in the fridge. It is cheap though so I guess you get what you pay for
Love this place. Downside is that there are only 2 washing machines for the whole camp over 100 people and one is often out of order. That means long queues and often missing out completely. Showers are basic but adequate
It's an ok place to set your tent or your campervan where you got pretty much everything you need. Kitchen, showers, toilets, BBQ, and the beach across the road everything for no much money. Not for a long time staying though and not really for tourists maybe just for travelers.
If I would rate value for money I would give it 5 stars in comparison with other campsites in New zealand. For 10 $ you're getting free hot showers limited to 5 min, kitchen stove, oven, fridge, freezer, cleaning stuff, no crockery and a really nice bbq facility. It's just 1 min walk to the beautiful beach with mostly perfect waves for surfing and swimming. But it is also located at the street, and at late night you might be disturbed by the noises the street and of a high number of incoming cars to the campsite, especially if you are in a tent. The sites are placed close to each other too, which again could be disturb certain guests. But, that's why you get a lot for less money! Shopping facilities within 3 min. drive.
Just recently got to experience all the talk about Tauranga in all its glory. We stayed with a older guy down Fishermens Lane at the camp grounds. If my friends weren't so caught up chasing devil's dust they would of saw the natural high Tauranga, beach, atmosphere, enviroment had to offer. TAKE ME BACK!!!
