Beach Road Studios is a relaxed and friendly art school run by NZ encaustic artist Mary Jessie Sullivan, situated at her seaside art studio, in Haumoana, Hawkes Bay.
Introductory and advanced x 1 day Encaustic Art workshops $150 (all materials included)
This is your chance to experience the unique world of encaustic wax art.
The workshops are designed for two skill levels:
Level 1 - you will be led step by step through the many techniques of encaustic art, having each demonstrated to you, then performing each step yourself to a point where you will develop a strong understanding of process and what is possible.
Level 2 - this is an opportunity to go into more depth of some of the more advanced techniques of encaustic wax - to follow on from level 1.

Weekly Art Classes
these run every Thursday morning from 10am till 1pm.
All skill levels welcome to join this relaxed and friendly environment.
Tap into your creativity and explore the options of drawing or painting – with the help and guidance from an established artist.

Weekly Encaustic Masterclasses
these run every Tuesday morning from 10am till 1pm.
Ideal for someone who has already done an encaustic workshop or has experience in the basics of encaustic art and needs help setting up a studio at home or refining a technique – with the help and guidance from an established artist.
$120 for bookings of 4 weeks (plus materials). Encaustic wax products are available for sale, and I can offer guidance with any purchase to build the best value materials kit for yourself.
