Story

Welcome to Bay Osteopathy & Natural Health in Whakatane. Eduard Balzer a registered Osteopath, and Christine Balzer-Gibbs, a registered Naturopath and Kinesiologist, have opened their new osteopathic and naturopathic health clinic at 52 Boon Street, Whakatane.

Eduard and Christine have moved to the Bay of Plenty recently. They had lived for the last 20 years in Upper Hutt, where Eduard ran his successful Body Balance Osteopathic Clinic. Christine had been teaching Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation, and seeing clients at her Lifesource Yoga and Naturopathic Clinic. They enjoyed family life on a lifestyle block in the Akatarawa Valley. Since all their children have left home they decided to move to the sunny Bay of Plenty.

Together they offer a wholistic approach to health and well being. Osteopathy provides relief from back and neck pain and restores spinal and whole body alignment. Naturopathy offers health guidance and healing to restore balance and harmony in your body, mind and spirit.

Cannot recommend this practice enough. Geethanjali has been amazing in helping my recovery process these past few months and I’m incredibly grateful for her efforts. I feel safe and supported when I work with her and always leave feeling ten times better. She’s truly the best!
Geethanjali was recommended to us when my son was 4 weeks old and had difficulty latching properly and one side of his neck seemed stiff. Geethanjali was absolutely incredible with him, she helped release the tension in his jaw and neck from labour and she explained everything both scientifically and holistically. I was also treated by her for postnatal back pain and she has been brilliant, I was given exercises and treatment which made a huge difference in building my strength and getting my body back to normality! Geethanjali is a genuine person who cares deeply for her patients and their recovery. Her calming, warm presence is so lovely to be around and she was brilliant with a new born baby and still is with our toddler! We still go to see her when our son has a cold or is teething as she releases the fluid of tension around his head. Radhika has also been brilliant when treating our son. Both of their treatments were very gentle with our son but highly impactful, I cannot recommend Bay Osteopath enough!!
I have been seeing multiple Osteopaths for a number of years due to an autoimmune condition, I stumbled across Bay Osteo's and in particular the practitioner Geethanjali. After the first two sessions I instantly felt better, I felt lot more connected with what was going on with me and the treatments were not invasive. The great thing is that, Geethanjali discusses all elements of health, including the gut, diet and overall joints and muscles! can't thank you enough!
Can’t express my indebt thanks to Dr. Geethanjali who managed my chronic excruciating pain radiating down the leg. She is a thorough professional with in-depth knowledge of her field and have an empathetic healing touch. Would definitely recommend her for early prognosis of any severe condition.

I first received treatment from Geethanjali aproximately 3 months ago for back pain, mostly localised on left hand side, shoulder blade, arm! I was a bit nervous, to be honest, but Geethanjali is amazing, she is very thorough, she explained to me what exactly caused the pain, gave lots of advices and also some exercises to do at home! I am feeling much better since I see her, my pain and sleep improved a lot and I always look forward to go for the appointment with her, because I every time I feel so much lighter after! I came to bay osteopath as I was having pains in my finger and shoulder, they quickly diagnosed the problem and explained the root cause… which to my surprise was a dislocated collarbone! Thanks for all the treatments to realign it and relieving my pain.
Bay osteopath have been able to help me with the back pain that I have from time to time and coming out each treatment session is rewarding as they are able to help lesssen the pain.Their diagnosis of tissue is brilliant and their treatments and recommendations for leading a healthy life are very helpful.
