Bay of Islands Country Lodge Motel is well located for both Paihia and Kerikeri attractions and activities. We offer a friendly personalised service and a range of refurbished quality accommodation suitable for holidaymakers, families, truck drivers and business travellers alike. Our swimming pool, spa pool, BBQ area and peaceful garden setting provide the ideal respite after a day’s exploration of Northland. Located at Puketona Junction, Kerikeri is a 10 minute drive north and Paihia and Waitangi are a 10 minute drive east from the motel. Cape Reinga Tours/Ninety Mile Beach tours also pick up from the motel daily.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main centres yet still be within easy reach of all the Bay of Islands best attractions then the Bay of Islands Country Lodge Motel is the accommodation for you. This is a good place to stay, although of all the motels I stayed in over the Christmas period, this was the most expensive, but I think this is indicative of the Bay of Islands in general. Best was a similar Motel in Christchurch which was $50 less per night. The lodge is nice, set back from the road in a farm like surrounding. There are rescue animals to look at, and a lovely friendly cat. Room decour is a little dated, but rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious, with private outdoor seating. Their is a swimming pool for cooling off in on a hot day, and a spa pool for relaxing in. Owners are very nice.
We stumbled upon this convenient spot and ended up extending our stay, as it's so convenient to Kerikeri and Paihia. Ed was helpful and informative and very humorous. He and his wife do a lovely job running this comfortable inn. We loved all of the animals, and free laundry facilities helped Highly recommend staying here!
Wow! Listen, this location is perfect. You are close to Paihia and Kerikeri. Ed and Larainne are wonderful and full of knowledge. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The rooms I saw all had kitchenettes which is nice for prepping meals and saving a little money. The atmosphere is great with farm animals. Just a great little place. I would suggest staying here for your North island adventures!
Ed & his beautiful wife make this place home for a short stay. Several farm animals available for kids to interact with under supervision. Very reasonable off season rate. Conditions are spotless.
Lovely country setting with farm animals almost at your doorstep. Buster the very friendly horse, 2 hilarious goats, 2 pigs, a cat and sheep. Clean and tidy and great location with reasonable pricing, even over peak Christmas period.
Was an awesome 2 nights at this motel. Service was top knotch, room clean and comfortable, country feel worth a whole lot more. Would highly recommend to anyone and will stay here again if I visit on holiday. Excellent stay!!!
We have just returned from a month long stay at Laraine and Ed's hidden gem. They both went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The motel is in easy reach of Kerikeri, Paihia, Russel and Opua and has large comfortable rooms with shady garden views. Ed provided Sky TV, Multi Region DVD player and Unlimited Free WiFi There are laundry facilities a kitchen with all amenities and lovely comfortable beds. On top of all that there is a petting zoo. We we greeted by the chooks Marilyn and Monroe each morning for a piece of bread. Then there were the pigs, the horse and the sheep. If you want an unforgettable experience book now, don't leave it too late!
Stayed here during 1st week of June 2019 for one night. Manager/ Owner was friendly. Check-in was smooth & fast and we got fully furnished/equipped studio room for the best price. Hassle free Car parking. It’s on the State Highway. Manager could book us the Cruise to Hole in the Rock for 10% discount in the Hotel’s website, for the very next day. This Motel doesn’t have a restaurant. We could get in to a 20km North Indian Restaurant and brought some take away food and have it in the room. This place is Centrally located between Paihia, kawakawa & Kerikeri and ideally suited for people travelling to Cruise to the Hole in the Rock, Waitangi treaty grounds and other sight-seeing places.
Older place to stay but owner's have tidy it up nicely, got lots of animals and the owners are orsum and friendly may even have a drink with you . Thr is a little cabin out in paddock by the river if ya want something bit different so do try if in the B O I
