Awesome venue if someone love to experience cricket game with great food, good audience and warming host.nClose to AirPort and other amenities
We saw the Australia-NZ cricket test here today, our first trip to this ground. The atmosphere and surrounds are absolutely lovely. It's let down somewhat by the limited grandstand seating, and although the food vans provided an interesting range of offerings they were slow and inefficient. It could really do with some appropriate development to bring it up to scratch.
Good place, with a great sporting atmosphere.nnIf you are interested in wellington history, then it is definately worth a walk through. There are photos and articles dating as far back as the basin and more.
Went to the Night Noodle Market here last week. Really cool venue for this, hope they have it here again. Lots of space to move around unlike at Frank Kitts park. Security and entry/exit was easy as always at the Basin. Loved having a walk around on the hallowed turf at the end of the cricket season too.
Beautiful cricket ground. Perfect for watching games. Good atmosphere. Generally sit where you want. Not loads of shade. Museum is worth a look in.
