Barfoot & Thompson enjoys a significant presence in the local area. Our new Hobsonville Branch is now open. Pop in & have chat with our friendly team.
Right at home in Hobsonville - A new local office - with a very familiar face.
Hobsonville Point is unquestionably Auckland’s most exciting new community development.
The emergence of a fully infrastructured ‘mini city’ from largely bare land serves as a blueprint for future community development in New Zealand - so it’s an appropriate second home for long-established agency, Barfoot & Thompson West Harbour.
West Harbour branch manager Mark van Lent says the volume of enquiries and sales in Hobsonville has fully warranted the opening of a new Barfoot & Thompson Hobsonville Branch.
‘‘We’ve had a significant presence in the local area for the last 21 years, to the extent that we were running out of space. The new branch in Hobsonville will give us the room and resources to serve our clients. We felt it was time to provide easier access to our services for our long standing clientele throughout Hobsonville, as well as our many newer clients across the rapidly expanding areas of Hobsonville Point, Scott Road peninsula and the new Whenuapai residential zone’’
A number of staff from the West Harbour office have transferred to Hobsonville. Their local knowledge and experience will be invaluable as the new office is established.
The vibe on Hobsonville Point is absolutely positive. A significant number of the 4500 Hobsonville Point homes being built are already lived in, predominantly by owner-occupiers. The two new schools are drawing praise from residents and well as being a drawcard to new families; the retail and hospitality scene is growing and thriving; major commercial developments at the North West Town Centre and along Hobsonville Road corridor are steadily increasingly local employment prospects; ferry services from Catalina Bay 7 Westpark Marina are growing to plan; and 24 hectares are being developed as parks, reserves and open spaces, including beautiful coastal walks around the Hobsonville Point water edge. Meanwhile, an area almost as large is being developed on neighbouring Scotts Point, in addition to the HLC/Housing NZ project. This means thousands more sections and homes coming onto the market in the very near future.
Hobsonville Point and the surround areas prove what can be achieved when you have a master plan. This is no ordinary development, a new community is being created in which people will live, work and play locally. This is a community that is being protected and enhanced by the residents themselves, thanks to the great work of the Residents Society.
The North West Expansion area is a destination that all of Auckland can get excited about. There is unprecedented interest from people all over Auckland and well beyond, everyone from young families to people selling their rural farms and looking for low maintenance retirement living.
The area is unique, and the development stunning. An example of this is Catalina Bay with its waterfront and heritage buildings, being developed by Willis Bond & Co, who created Wellington’s Clyde Quay Wharf. This will be a prime destination for Aucklanders and tourists alike.
So although the Hobsonville Office may be new to the area, the people within it are not. With wealth of local knowledge and experience, the friendly team are ready to have a chat with you about your real estate needs.
