I expected the food here to be super average given its location in a small NZ town. How wrong was I! The pork belly fried rice is amazing and the sauces that accompany the satay chicken are very flavoursome. Add to that the most pleasant hostess and its a 5-star rating from me!
We were appreciated the male staff who really concern about the hygiene. He wiped the door handle, window and sauce area. Beside, they make their own Thai's drinks with a special price. Also, range of sauces that's you can choose with your meals. I love my Chicken Pad Thai, love this great restaurant. Thank you.
A really comfortable space and I personally find the main guy who hosts fantastic and he is direct and doesn’t hover and put on unnecessary pleasant airs. The food is excellent although on the pricey side just a tad NZ thing, genuine flavours and fresh ingredients. Their advanced, menu is what really shines and you’ll be easily pleased for venturing away from the familiar Thai dishes. Will always happily recommend this place to anyone as it’s consistent and a happy time - unlike what could be said for most of Oamaru sadly.
Yummy food, good portion size. Def would reccomend! We had basil sauce duck & ginger chicken special. The drinks were waaaay too sweet but easily dilutable with water. My friend found the drinks good but I have a lower sweet tolerance. Overall
We had a group of 9 staying in Oamaru for the weekend. Decided to have Asian meal tonight and didn’t have high expectations but all agree we enjoy Thai food. The flavoursome meals were well presented and extremely tasty. Our competent, bright and pleasant little Thai waitress did an awesome job from woe to go. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a great night out. Well done…
Deserves a higher star rating than 4.3, at least 4.8 if not a 5!!! Enjoyed chicken stir fry with soy cashew nut sauce and green chicken curry. This place exceeded my expectations, plenty of flavour and variety of vegetables in the stir fry. Delicious. Best Thai we've had in NZ.Food: 5/5
The food tasted lovely, but the mussels were tiny the meals are much smaller and more expensive we got a starter to share and 2 mean meals it came to $74 and $3 of that is a service charge why a service charge for takeaways that we picked up?. Very poor value for our money
I ordered mild Thai redcurry, it was so hot, I had difficulty eating it. Told waitress she took bowl away, more cocoanut cream was added it was a runny mess. Very disappointed, the decor is very basic, bright lights, no atmosphere.
Fantastic meal & service was exemplary. Full house & staff shortages but waitress was smiling & never flustered. We were a party of 9 all with differing tastes & from out of town. Very impressed
5 prawns charge $6 more, $30 Tom Yum is not worth the price
