4 Stars for the historic heritage. This is a normal steel span bridge that provides the main crossing over the Clutha Mata-Au River.
A great place to chill out. Turn off before the bridge southbound or turn right just after the bridge Northbound. A boat ramp there plus public toilets.
From time to time you can see some strange glow above Balclutha.
Built between 1933-1935... Total length 244.1 metres .. Most beautiful bridge in South island , New zealand ...
Looked kinda nice both driving up to and over, in a old brute style steel and concrete kind of way. Had walking paths on the sides
