Balance Health & Fitness provides group sessions, 1-2-1 training and nutritional advice for people at all levels of fitness to help you achieve your goals.
My partner Vicki and I setup Balance Health & Fitness because of our passion for sport, exercise and nutrition. I graduated from Massey University in 2007 with a BA degree in Sport and Exercise. I then travelled overseas to the UK to play rugby in York where I met Vicki and I travelled across Europe. When we finally came home to New Zealand I worked for Sport Taranaki as a Community Sports Advisor, delivering sport to primary school children throughout the region. I thoroughly enjoyed working with kids and watching them get as much enjoyment out of sport as I do. Vicki and I have now decided to pursue our dream of Health and Fitness by starting our own company in the heart of South Taranaki.
We are both extremely passionate about sport and exercise and always have been. From an early age I played rugby and cricket representing Taranaki in both codes at age group level as well as Manawatu Under 20’s in rugby. In 2011, I then turned my hand to refereeing and in 2013 I was selected for the National Referees Squad. As well as this, my fiancee Vicki represented Great Britain at age group level rowing and is now a New Zealand age group triathlete. She has already completed two Half Ironman distance events since she took up the sport in 2012.
Balance Health + Fitness offers a range of fitness options to suit all ages and abilities ranging from group sessions to Personal 1 on 1 Training at a location that suits you. We aim to service South and Central Taranaki by bringing our business to your community.
I will look after all of your fitness needs and help you to set your own personal goals whether it be to get fit again after having children, get into exercise for the first time or if you are looking to compete in a specific event. With the right plan, commitment and support any goal can be achieve. I am passionate about making your health and fitness goals become a reality by helping you kick start your new lifestyle.
Group Sessions cater to all ages and levels of fitness. They are a fun and easy way to get back into exercise, use as cross fitness for those training for other sports and they are also a great place to meet like minded individuals with similar goals.
The high intensity, 'Tabata' style workouts we run are a great way to get in shape fast without the hassle of having to plan your own training schedule. Not only will you feel great you will have fun doing it. If you are in need of a little motivation to get you kick started then this is the place for you!
