If you're looking for a generous, all-inclusive buffet for $30, this is the place. The meats are the star—tender, flavourful, and well-seasoned. The Lebanese Lamb Rice is exceptional, especially with a bit of their yogurt.nnThe fact that drinks and desserts are included and that you can get takeaway portions makes it an even better value. A solid choice for a casual, filling meal.
A good selection of food. Mainly dips and salads. I was surprised the bread was sliced loaves instead of middle eastern flat bread.nnThe meat dishes were lamb on the bone, chicken on the bone and mini burgers with tomato sauce. Not seen that kind of meat at a middle eastern restaurant before. Maybe it was shawarma?nnThere were three deserts, all pretty good. The baclava was light and fresh, but not enough syrup, so quite dry.nThe music was unecessarily loud.
The best Middle Eastern buffet for just $30 and it’s only available on Fridays and Saturdays. The meats were tender and everything is Halal friendly! They have appetizers, mains, desserts and drinks, all included for just $30, seriously what a steal
The best manaesh I’ve had in Aotearoa. Always super fresh, flavoursome and the price is amazing. Incredible value for money. Don’t forget to order a tea pot, labneh and pickles on the side to elevate the experience. I crave this all the time, and recommend it highly.
What a find! This place is an absolute gem The lightest fluffiest wood-fired breads I’ve ever tasted and they are $1 for two. The mana’ish lamb will blow your mind - a light soft flatbread with minced seasoned lamb with what I think are tomatoes and onions - it has the most beautiful delicate yet rich flavours which are perfectly balanced. The falafel is crispy yet so soft inside - served piping hot. My favourite though is the Dolma - soft rice and spices made with beautiful olive oil and vinegars. The vine leaves are lush. The hummus is a little smooth for my liking but it’s the Lebanese style. You can get gorgeous Turkish coffee here too. This really is the best Lebanese food I’ve ever tasted. The cafe itself is humble - canteen style with local community feel and the staff are nice. It’s spotlessly clean and they have little touches like iced water and napkins on the table which I love. Everything is fresh and hand made. They also have a huge range of sweets, pastries and Baklawa of course! It’s my new favourite eatery on all of Auckland. The one star reviews I’ve read are all from people who come here and order westernised English food why? or rude people who are impatient and misunderstand the style of café. Ignore them and check this place out.
