This place is disgusting. They take advantage of people getting out of prison, and charge them exorbitant rates because winz will help pay for the accommodation. Which in essence is the tax payer.nA few years ago they had a camera in the toilets, so staff can see the private moments of it's female guests.nThe whole place smells and the staff are unhelpful.nI'm not sure why these reviews are not recorded on the booking site which show 10/10 from what the staff and their families have reported, as they disguised themselves as guests. Not right.
The best thing about this place was its proximity to town, otherwise it was pretty disappointing. I decided to spend a little extra to have a solo ensuite room - I definitely recommend asking them to show you your room before you commit to paying. The room was about the size of a queen bed, and had *no windows*. There was also no door between the bedroom and bathroom, the bed was uncomfortable, and the room in general was extremely run down and a bit dirty. The air in there was stuffy and headache-inducing.nOverall it felt pretty grubby and not very safe. Wouldn't book this place again.
Well if you are on a budget and single, this goes with you. Single room with attached shower and toilet is just so much in that little space. Bed is just okay to be comfortable, if you are tired probably you will be okay. Anyway this is a backpacker hotel, so don’t expect more! There are some Indian restaurants across the road and the city centre is just 10 minutes walk, which is convenient. The best thing is the front desk service, Jeffery was a good person, he gave me a good room. Ah, parking is free.
Bedroom smells like piss. Blankets and sheets feel dirty, we had to buy a sheet from the warehouse to cover up the gross feeling of the bed. The bathrooms are dingy, cold, damp, and dirty. There is mould in rooms and bathroom. As soon as you step inside the building you are hit with a gust of a rather pungent, putrid smell that is almost suffocating. Stay away from this place at all costs
We arrived late with a large school group. The facilities were clean and welcoming and the staff were so friendly and keen to ensure we got settled in with ease. Great place to stay, would thoroughly recommend.
