Great little golf course on the Awhitu Peninsula with incredible views. Kept in fairly good condition considering its location to Auckland. Cheap to play $10 for 9 holes.
Great country course, first class meals and very efficient and friendly staff.
A great golf course even if you're not a golfer. It's located in an Auckland Regional Park so the surrounding area is lovely, with great views. The Club provides a Friday night dinner or barbecue for visitors to the area as well as Club members depending on the season, it's all fresh food and made on the premises. For added fun, try a lottery/spin the wheel - you can win anything from frozen whole chicken, chocolates, meat packs. Take the children too and enjoy yourselves. Also open on Sunday for those playing golf plus provides lunch for visitors
One of the best public 9 hole golf courses around. Located 20min outside Waiuku up the Awhitu peninsula, runs on an honesty box system mostly, so bring cash. Well maintained course, part of the Awhitu Regional Park, slightly odd layout with a couple of holes crossing each other. Good course with enough interest to challenge your average golfer.
Came here for the Sunday lunch and very surprised. Not much in this area for eating out and so they have made a restaurant at the golf club. Lovely selection of food and a help yourself salad bar. It's low key and like having a meal at your village hall but food was good and very cheap. Thanks for the great meal.
Nice friendly experience a must end of month golfing
Awhitu is a quiet 9hole parkland course. Seldom busy, you can roll up for a game without pre-booking. Club days are Sundays and Wednesdays. Catered meals available on Friday evenings and Sunday lunchtime. Clubhouse is available to hire for weddings. See our nearby beach and harbour views. Website is awhitugolf.co.nz
Nice place. well maintained. There is a sheep run through the middle and the local make up their own rules about moving the ball near a gap in the fence if they think it might hit it LOL. Great views from top of the hill.
Basic course but very relaxing / quiet ... took my son for his first golf experience and the golf club rep was ever so helpful ... lending us some junior clubs and a couple of trolleys.
Great place for a meal on fridays
