Awaroa Sea Kayaks

About

We run half day guided sea kayak trips based from Awaroa. Our aim is to showcase the best of the northern end of the Abel Tasman National Park.

Story

Awaroa Sea Kayaks offers guided sea kayak trips based from the Awaroa Ladge, Abel Tasman National Park. We are a small company who are extremely lucky to be able to call Awaroa home. We believe this area offers the best sea kayaking in the Abel Tasman National Park, and we look forward to sharing it with you.

Being the only company that is physically based in the National Park allows us to avoid boat transfers to run trips in this isolated area, simplifying our operation and offering our customers superior value for money.

"Awaroa Sea Kayaks run guided sea kayak trips, guided nature walks and stand up paddle board rentals. If you are walking the Abel Tasman coastal track, staying at a local accommodation provider or just want to join us for the day to escape the crowded southern end of the park, get in touch to make a booking. We run daily tours over the summer months September to April. Our kayak trips generally start at 9 am and have a maximum group size of eight. We can occasionally run custom trips and change our plans to suit yours. We look forward to hearing from you."

Josh is a friendly and excellent guide. He knew his stuff and made the trip enjoyable and safe. Morning tea was provided and he made sure that he caters for our level. Photos are from the kayak experience. This activity is highly recommended.
Totally recommend a trip with Josh!! We all loved our morning kayaking. Josh was super friendly, knowledgable, and considerate of all abilities. This was a perfect break in the middle of the Great Walk - we camped at Onetahuti the night before, made the short walk to Awaroa early next morning, and caught the afternoon low tide inlet crossing.Thank you so much Josh.
Amazing experience, highly recommend! The guide is fantastic.
Awesome trip!
