Avondale Sunday Market

This is a vibrant market with lots of stalls selling fresh produce - including fish, eggs, fruit & veges, berries, honey and beeswax, at great prices. Live potted plants abd seedlings, even pond plants - water lilies and lotus. Also there are Asian dry produce - beans, seaweed, various mushrooms etc. And many various curiosities, vintage and antique pieces, enough to make each Sunday trip something to look forward to.

You can tell the locals come here to shop. Lots of local produce, dried goods as well as other knickknacks. Open on Sundays from 5am to noon.

So many things were found here. Price reasonable. If you want bargains come nearly closing time at 12.

Been ages try 15 years since we went here last. But this weekend me and hubby did - and a lot of familiar things are still there including NEW ones. It's still a melting pot of cultures, if not, more. Quite bustling, fun, fresh and food is quite delicious! Bargains galore also. Now that my kid is an adult she is coming back to this place. I highly recommend it and if you want parking, arrive early for on-ground or off street parking. Or take bus and train. Take a wheeled bag I recommend and lots of CASH.

Where I shop for groceries for my family every Sunday. The food here is very fresh, delicious. The atmosphere is fun and bustling.
