This family-run resort is truly exceptional and we were so fortunate to have discovered it. We stopped for one night after other plans fell through and ended up staying three weeks! A hidden gem just at the edge of town. Off the road, you drop into a beautiful valley of gardens, ponds, trees and birds. We loved the spring-fed swimming pool, the spa, and sauna and having our own private balcony and space in the Water cottage. The place is deliciously quiet - bird song, rustling leaves, soft breezes - and superb for star gazing. We got to see several of the rooms and all were cozy, homey and comfortably equipped with everything you could need for a short or long stay. The owners treated us so incredibly well an extra mention to Cassie and Ella ; and we cannot thank them enough for making our experience in the Bay of Islands so wonderful. We highly recommend this lovely resort to anyone passing through. We hope to return!
Spent the weekend here with a group of walkers. An ideal venue catering to all our needs with excellent facilities. The only difficulty with our particular room was we had to access the bathroom via the single bedroom. Not a problem for families but there was a toilet immediately outside our chalet on a covered well lit deck which we could also use.
We stayed here as family and as such we were a big group. The resort worked for us perfectly as we could have our own cabins but still come together in a shared outdoor dining area by the pool. Perfect environment, beautiful grounds fantastic stay. We enjoyed the pizza oven and the barbecue the spa pool and the sauna. Would highly recommend especially for groups and families.
We stayed in the 'air' cabin.nWow this was beyond our expectations.nIt has a full kitchen, gas hob, dishwasher too.nThe huge 4 post bed was comfy with great pillows.nThe bathroom included shower and bath had good hot water and pressure.nThe view of ducks in the lake and sheep grazing in paddock was tranquil.nVery awesome atmosphere/suroundings.nMike was a great welcoming friendly guy.nHighly recommend.nThanks Mike
Stayed here recently, an absolute oasis.nUnits and standalone cabins hidden down a long driveway.nSo many features, beautiful trees and greenery , palms, spa, sauna, freshwater pool with reeds and rock surround, stream ,trampoline , large area suitable for families or groups to eat on a deck with view of freshwater pool...nWould definitely love to return ...
