Avalon Motel

After flying from Auckland to Melbourne, we had a full day of dramas at every turn. The only positive was our motel. Our host was warm and welcoming, with good local advice. Our room was very clean and spacious, with a big window outlook to the pool and pristine lawn. Great jumping off point for the Coromandel.

If I could give this more than 4 stars I would. We love our weekend trips away and do them quite often, so far Avalon Motel is the nice one we have stayed at in a really long time. It’s spacious for our family of four, very clean and tidy and the bed are comfortable. The staff we really friendly. We will definitely be back! Thanks

Tidy and clean. Note above sink to do your own dishes. I actually dont mind doing my own dishes but it always makes me wonder if the dishes are clean. Every time I see a note like this ... I dont feel like doing the dishes.

Very nice place to stay, rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable, and motel staff are friendly. Stayed here several trips now, would happily recommend to others as a great place to stay

Good motel but really bad service and not so friendly staff. Overcharged us for no reason and not ready to send proofs.

Lovely, friendly management and a beautiful room. Gardens make it feel like a tropical jungle escape!
