The car wash facility is decent, but the pricing structure for app users is extremely disappointing. When using the app, you pay $7.50 for just 6 minutes of use time, compared to 1 minute per dollar when paying with coins. Essentially, you lose $6 for every $30 you recharge on the app, which feels like a scam. To make matters worse, the app forces a minimum spend of $7.50, even if you just need a quick rinse. This makes the app far less practical than simply using coins.nnI also had a frustrating experience with the owner. When I asked if I could exchange my loose 50-cent coins for gold coins to use at the wash, he reacted as though I was asking for a free service. He mentioned that he could top up the machine if I had notes but claimed he didn’t know what to do with coins. He also behaved as if Kaiapoi—where the car wash is located—was some isolated, out-of-reach place where coins aren’t usable. It was a baffling and unnecessary response, especially since coins are still legal tender.nnOverall, the facility could be great, but the app pricing and lack of basic customer service really detract from the experience.
A very clean, nice car wash with all new amenities and has eftpos available to do it yourself and also a automatic wash centre where you can drive into to get washed, most recommended getting your car washed here in the evening when it's not too sunny.nIt's not bad for the price, $7.50 to get your car washed by yourself, it's just loose change but please don't let the price go up further or will be too much unless there are more available option to have
Worst car wash I’ve ever been to. It is very expensive $6.50 for 6 minutes. Splitter wax was not coming out properly. To wash my car properly i had to pay $19.50. They’ll charge extra 50 cents if you pay through card. Not worth paying this much price.nThere’s another car wash in kaipoi at Mobil gas station I would recommend that one. It’s 1000 times better than this one and cheaper as well.nCheers!
I experienced an initial issue with the dog wash service, but the owners promptly addressed it and refunded my money. Upon my next visit, they even personally checked in to ensure everything was satisfactory. The service was exceptional, and I will definitely be returning in the future.
One of the better self-service car wash facilities in Christchurch.
