AUSA is the Students' Association of the University of Auckland. Run by students, for students!
Auckland University Students' Association or AUSA was founded in 1891 to provide a united and representative voice to students of the University of Auckland and to deliver an expansive range services and events that students want and need. The founding philosophy is student control of student affairs, and AUSA is run by students, for students.
AUSA is a voluntary student association and it costs nothing to join. Joining gives you access to a vast range of services from this diary you’re holding in your hot little hands at this very moment, to lockers to store your stuff, to resources for the more than 120 clubs we have on campus for you to join, to access to sweet events and gigs like O-Week and End of Daze, and to welfare services for when you're in a bind. The more members we have the better we can represent and support you — pretty simple.
We own a variety of businesses that provide us with a regular income in order to keep on providing the services that we do. You might recognise such famous brands as Craccum, our weekly student magazine, Shadows, our student bar, bFM, the best radio station in the world, UBS Bookshop, and the uni Quad Cafe. Supporting these businesses means supporting students!
We are also your voice in the University – if you don’t like something or want something changed, anything from issues with your course to there not being enough computers in the library to issues with your landlord, come and see us!
We’re here for you and we’re damned proud of it too!
