Development is going at its highest rate, roads are narrow and at one point I stopped feeling that I will hit the opposite car. The infrastructure is similar to Paerata Raise but sections are smaller than Paerata raise and the price is touching sky.
Absolutely no parking anywhere, and If you park on the road, you get towed. Don't bother moving to this area. No one will be able to visit you and even if visitors park in front of your own section, neighbours complain even if it's not blocking their path, and I can guarantee the people complaining are the ones who don't have friends or family to visit them. And all the neighbours are karensTrust me, you'll know what I mean once you move here. Save your time energy and don't. It doesn't feel homely , and neighbours are constantly tippy toeing around each other.
No parking along the street, and no parking for visitors to come and visit. It seems that the person who developed the area didnt take into consideration, family or friend who would like to visit, very disappointing to say the least, will be moving away due to this very reason, and will not be recommending this area to anyone who seeks a quiet community. The burnouts down the road late hours of the morning are annoying also and stop you from getting a decent nights rest. Also there's no place for kids to play, it feels like robot town, no one does anything, everyone looks miserable, to be honest, there's nothing homely about this place. The cafe and walkways are good, but I've spoken to a neighbour and they've said they havn't had the warmest reception from people on the walking track.
Love the playground for the littlies, and the walks around the boardwalk are beautiful. Looking forward to the eco islands being opened in the future. Right now it's great fun taking the kids down to the empty fields full of wild flowers, rabbits and grasshoppers. So much to explore and the grass is so long it's a real adventure for explorers. Love it so much we moved here.
At first glance I thought this park was way too small, but it's ready pretty with interesting activities. My kids especially enjoyed the musical orb, which plays about 6 different tunes. Has a couple of mini tramps, climbing wall...Make sure kids have long pants if they plan on using the metal slide on a hot day. Also, it's not fenced yet so a high level of supervision is needed for little ones near the bank.
Amazing new community with some of the best infrastructure, amenities, masterplan and neighbours around! Cool new residents, kids/dogs friendly and a public coastal edge walkway already there. Nic from Better Way Cafe in the Village Square also does an epic brew having been roasting coffee beans for AllPress for 12+ years! Worth visiting.
Fantastic development especially now the Better Way Cafe is up and running. Kids have lots of fun swimming off the jetty ,cycling on the coastal path and playing in the playground
We walked part of the new walkway. Parked on Bremner road at the start of the new subdivision, and walked along the track. There was a tyre swing and a regular swing at the start of the track. The path was wide and paved, with seats dotted along every now and then. Path would be good for scooters or bikes for younger kids. Hopefully water fountains, rubbish bins, dog watering stations, and maybe some shade will be added in time.
It's a whole lifestyle experience, feels like a million miles away from Auckland, great place for destressing and chilling out while walking my boys dog on the awesome walkways near the water. If I had the money I would live there for sure
