Good temple with good priests but the aarti starts very late every evening around 8pm and does not finish until 9pm. People who wish to take the darshan before the aarti is not possible as the curtains are drawn on the dieties. One of the main reasons to think twice to visit this temple.
Indian temple with aarti and bells very good for meditation and positive energy.
Mascot of Hindu culture in Auckland and New Zealand. Well maintained full scale temple with lots of social activities. Plenty of parking places around and lovely garden to sustain the process. The priests are well trained and thorough professional. They organise several social and religious programs.
Hindu temple where everything is maintained as south Indian style. Pooja paddhati etc. and Navagraha, Sitarama, Subramanya, Shiva Kamakshi. bhairava including with Moola Virat Ganesha.. so peaceful place meditate.
Beautiful Navaratri festival celebrations. Preist Chandru performs pooja and Homam during this period. He not only does Pooja but also explains why we perform the rituals. Always enjoy being here. On 8th day of Navaratri they also chant Gayatri mantra. Mr Bala and family usually sponser the homam on this day. Live band or dolu will be wonderful to experience. A group of women performed barathanatyam today. Exciting to watch live show.
I love this place and always gets the feel of visiting a temple in the back home India. Moreover, the head priest Chandruji takes devotees experience to the next level. Jai Ganesha.
One of the most beautiful temples in Auckland. Attended a friend's puja there and was very happy with everything from the puja to the prasad.
Hindu temple main deity is Ganesha and other deities are Rama parivar, Subramanya Swamy, Shiva lingam, Kamakshi Amma and Navagrahas. Every day Poojas are performed in south Indian style. Must visit
Everything is fine . People have to still be more attentive as they just drop off Shoes like a mess near the entrance ignoring the special rack dedicated for shoes.. Bhakti is in action guys... not just watching poojas nor visiting temples :
Wedding ceremony- we did our wedding ceremony in the temple and everyone was just so amazing in making our ceremony special. Because our family is overseas, Chandru who was the priest made our ritual wedding fun. He gave logic behind everything ks done and also cracked a few jokes which we loved. Very happy with the idea we did it in papakura temple
