Phil Bishop from Auckland Sailing School is a terrific sailor and wonderful teacher. We had a fantastic weekend of tailored training with him on our yacht Anila. It was the best sail training we've had to date. He's experienced, pragmatic, patient - plus, a genuinely good guy. We cannot recommend him highly enough. If you're thinking about booking training with Phil, do it! You won't be disappointed.
Had an awesome powerboat driving training with the Auckland Sailing School last week. As a novice boat driver, I was nervous at first, but everything was made very easy by Hamish, I quickly gained confidence and learned a lot in 8 hours!
Had a great day doing a Powerboat level 2 assessment with Auckland Sailing School. Phil was very helpful and accommodating in sorting us out a course and Hamish who took it was very knowledgeable and thorough and a really nice guy. Strongly recommend!

I had two sessions with Phil and Hamish, focusing on theory and practical aspects respectively. Both sessions were outstanding and quickly got me back up to speed for the RYA Offshore / MCA 200. Each session was tailored to my specific needs, I may have been a bit ... ahem ... rusty here and there, and exceptionally well delivered. I highly recommend the team to anyone seeking to build on their skills and qualifications.
Hamish is a fantastic teacher. Very structured, personable and effective in his approach and just great to have on the boat. Can’t recommend enough.
