The Auckland Lookout at Mount Eden is an absolute highlight for any tourist! Perched at the summit, this designated viewpoint offers the most spectacular, unobstructed 360-degree panoramas of Auckland city, its iconic Sky Tower, and the sparkling Hauraki Gulf. It's easily accessible after a pleasant walk up the cone, making it a rewarding experience for all. Highest natural point in Auckland taking a 20 min moderate walk or ½ hour easy walk up to Auckland's highest natural point. It displays stunning views of the harbor and CBD as well as countryside behind. The crater is also awesome to see.

This is definitely a must visit if the weather's right for some unparalleled views over the city. The hike up isn't necessarily a walk in the park but it's by no means hard. If you are feeling a little lazy though, you can take a Uber or drive up pretty close to the summit.
One should definitely visit this place. It’s not a challenging walk with kids as we saw a lot of families. Dogs are allowed but with leashes. The view of the city is definitely worth a visit but the best part was the crater itself. You can do a full board walk around it. Closest parking is where you start walking up towards the crater and not many available so go early for the closest parking.
