Athenree Hot Springs and Holiday Park. Your Family Park of Choice. Uniquely located on the Tauranga Harbour, our friendly holiday park is renowned for its Hot Mineral Pools, great welcome, its fun atmosphere and its festidiously clean facilities.

Story

Treat yourself to a soak in the Athenree Hot Springs’ wonderful hot pools.
This great facility also offers accommodation — motels, chalets, powered
and non powered camping sites at very affordable rates that also gives you
free access to the pools, open daily from 830am to 7.3Opm to holiday makers.
Other people not staying can pay an entry fee and enjoy the pools any time
between 10am and 7.30pm. There are two natural mineral pools that are fed
from an underground aquifer 250 meters below ground.
The water is pumped constantly so pools are replenished every few hours.
The pools are also cleaned daily.
Take the whole family camping for a few days or just pop in for an amazingly
refreshing dip or have a turn on their aqua bikes — fun for all the family.
Enjoy the happy atmosphere of this wonderful holiday park now owned by
Mike and Sheryl Home who have plans to add colour to the grounds to
optimize this great family facility.

We spent 5 days at Athenree and every one of them was great. The staff are very friendly and happy to help. It's pet friendly which is grand ,as it's nice to have our two small dogs with us. The facilities are very clean and tidy and the pools are just fabulous. Looking forward to our next visit soon.
I highly recommend Athenree Hot Springs and Holiday Park for family reunions. We just had ours there and they definitely exceeded customer expectations. From management to cleaners their service was unbeatable. Nothing was a problem. Facilities are excellent, clean and functional. There was no area I could suggest improvement for. Definitely thankful we chose this holiday park to host our event at. The team at this park made our family event amazing. They cater very well for the elderly, disabled, families, children, different cultures and even your family pets. Outstanding service....the very best NZ had to offer. Lovely camp to stay in. Pet friendly, facilities are very clean and well maintained, as are the grounds. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hot pools are a real bonus. They are also beautifully presented. We had our caravan and requested, and were given, a nice site next to the estuary. Athenree Camp is good value for money and it's location close to Waihi Beach is a bonus. My sister and I stayed there previously so we knew how nice it was and my partner and I definitely plan to visit again.

This is a fantastic campsite with great facilities and super friendly staff. We will definitely be staying here again in the future. The Hot Pools are brilliant especially after a day in the surf or on a bike through the rail trail.Rooms: 5/5
Cool spot, we stopped through on a very wet evening in our camper. We were very last minute booking and the service was amazing and very welcoming . The hot pools were a hit with the kids and there is a playground across the way. The facilities were very clean and tidy - magic place, will be back - and hopefully there is sunshine next time!
Nice pools. Pretty busy but still plenty of room for my 2 year old son to have a absolute blast. Adult pool was nice and hot to relax in aswell. Service was super friendly and went the extra mile to tell us all about the pools. $10 a adult was a great priceService: 5/5

We just stayed one night in our camper van. Hot pools were lovely in the rainy weather. Cleanliness of all the bathrooms and kitchen facilities was incredible! We will definitely be back to try out the cabins with our kids.Service: 5/5
Recently renovated u can see the difference. Sparkling clean facilities. Lovely new pool. Well worth my $25. Grounds are also under renovation & improved drainage. That will also be very welcome. Nice kids playground just across the road.
