Needing a last-minute overnight stay, we booked this property and honestly weren't expecting much. However, from the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the pristine condition and how well cared for everything was. Our host, Maria is an absolute gem – her hospitality was outstanding, and we especially enjoyed her delicious homemade breakfast. The room itself was incredibly cozy and tidy, with thoughtful details that truly elevated our stay to a four-star feel. Without a doubt, we recommend this property. Treat yourself to Maria's exceptional hospitality when you're in Whitianga!
We had a lovely 3 night stay here. Maria and Guy were great hosts and Maria went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed. Great breakfasts, lovely clean, comfortable room. Situated near to Brophy's beach. Maria arranged for us to go on a fantastic sailing boat trip. All in all I would say that a stay here is like a home from home.
Just the loveliest place to stay! The charm of the studio room and the setting along the stream at the back of the property was only superseded by the warm welcome of our hosts Maria and Guy. From the minute we arrived, we were looked after like family with hands-down, the best breakfasts in NZ. We took the kayaks out paddling one morning which was just divine and highly recommended.nIf you want to feel like a valued guest and not just an anonymous traveller, this is the place to go.
Maria is a friendly, personable generous host. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is lovely with a lot of selection and your eggs and coffee are prepared fresh to your order. Beautiful accommodations in a beautiful location.
This place is immaculate! Quite, super clean, we loved the luxurious feel of linen, high end interior, delicious breakfast and the super nice hospitality of the owners. Hands down the best place we stayed in a decade in NZ!nIt is situated a bit out of the town centre, but that said, it's only a 5m drive & the beach is only a 5-10m walk via a beautiful natural reserve and estuary.nWe will be back!
