The cuisine was sublime, faultless, with the Astro steaks leaving us awestruck and yearning for more, yielding a truly transcendent dining experience that left us feeling empowered. We highly recommend visiting, even if only for a drink, as their extensive selection is sure to inspire and uplift.
Very hip place. It was a Saturday night and our reservation was at 6:30pm. The food took a bit to get to us but it was amazing. Easily the best meal I've ever had. I ordered a Buddha bowl with chicken.nnWe were sitting at a table near the DJ which was really loud for me but the music he chose was awesome.
We chose to come to Astrolabe for dinner after a show in the mount. It was packed but luckily we got a table outside which didn’t bother us. The food and drinks were great and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Great for kids, and maybe for drinks but the food is disgusting. Nothing we ordered was eaten except for the burger. I think investing in good quality food and good chefs would make the place perfect.nMy response:nI’ve been to Astrolabe multiple times, and the food used to be good. But this time, I’m leaving a review because the food was unbelievably bad. The steak was like boiled, tough, and it came with a ridiculously small portion of fries and a big green leaf soaked in oil.nnThe kids’ burger was okay; the kids ate it, and I tried it — it was nothing special. The fried “blue cheese” thing was a joke—expensive and so bad even a dog wouldn’t eat it. It doesn’t taste like blue cheese at all, it’s just deep-fried in oil and horrible.nnWe also got some spicy fried chicken, which was a tiny portion not good either.nnIt’s obvious you’re going cheap to make as much money as possible. We’ll never go back, and judging by your reviews, many others feel the same. There’s no love for food here, only a rush to maximize profits — unfortunately.
The tight arse Tuesday special at Astrolabe is excellent value for money. The beer is cold, the chips are crispy, and the burger... oh the burger. None of that artificial taste to the patty, just pure beef that melts in your mouth. WELL worth a visit!
