The only downside is the wait time to be seen. The nurses are super friendly and the doctors are super compasionate. I've always been taken care of when I've been in hospital here
I went into ED on the 2nd Feb with dizziness and loss of balance. My wait in the waiting room would have been less than 15 mins and then they put me in a cubicle. I was looked after by a lovely nurse called Ebin. His bedside manner and explanation of things was exceptional and at the end of his shift he came and said goodbye. The service from all the staff I dealt with was topnotch. Considering the pressure these health professionals are under they still go out of their way to provide the best care possible. We in New Zealand are lucky to have the health system we have.
I was recently in Ashburton Hospital for a blood transfusion. All the staff were great, service and treatment exceptional and attention very good. I am thankful that we have a great facility and staff in Ashburton.
My 4 years kid had high fever, went to check up and went more then an hour, the service is too weak and too slow. Poor service
Terrible service. Doctors and nurses chatting away while patients are waiting to be seen. Very unprofessional.
my friend who has now tonsillitis for the fourth time now which on the fourth time your supposed to get them removed, got her dad to call ashburton hospital and asked them to book an appointment so she could get them removed, as to which ashburton turned them away. she is currently in a lot of pain, she can barely swallow her food and she’s extremely worried this may become a serious illness. to me as her friend i think it’s absolutely horrific that a community hospital would reject their locals. im very worried if she doesn’t get treated the outcome might be deadly and she is also.
Went in for xrays, girls competent and got on with job quickly. Hospital still observing covid rules. Clean and orderly. Glad such a small town can still offer these services.
Awful service. Always have trainees on x-ray, couldn't find my kneecap was broken into 3 pieces and nearly let me go home saying it was a sprain and will heal on its own. Don't waste your time, just go straight to Christchurch
I went to the Ashburton Hospital with a injury on my toe they turned me down and told me its not a emergency. I thought they were there to help people not turn them away. I had to end up walking home on my sore foot which hurt my toe. They simply don't have any care for people with a toe injury. I'm very disappointed how I got treated. Not going back there again. It makes me wonder who else do they turn away.
If i had an option of giving zero stars i would. Pathetic service and no attention given what so ever. Had to sit in emergency for 3 hrs when there was no one else. No empathy at all. And when we took an appointment in private hospital and let them know that we are leaving the staff became really happy about it as if they never wanted to treat the patient. Sorry but this is a negative comment made by me ever in my whole life.
