The Marlborough Civic Theatre Trust (MCTT) is the owner and operator of the ASB Theatre Marlborough and Marlborough Light & Sound.
The Marlborough Civic Theatre Trust, a charitable organisation was established on 16th November 1974 following the demolition of His Majesty’s Theatre. Its principal objective was to establish a new theatre in Marlborough – this was achieved in 1985 with the opening of the Floor Pride Marlborough Civic Theatre.
The Board regularly reviews its strategic direction and purpose. This has been refined to the following vision and mission statements:
“It is our vision to provide a centre of excellence for arts and performance”
“The mission of the Marlborough Civic Theatre Trust is to grow a viable and dynamic community owned arts and theatre centre for the people of Marlborough. Providing an environment, in which the diversity of skills can be nurtured, encouraged and celebrated while striving for excellence.”
The Board’s current strategic goal is to provide Marlborough with a new theatre - ASB Theatre Marlborough which opened on 16th March 2016.
