I'm Christine and ive been hairdressing for 20+ years - I'm trade quailfyed and working from home while I raise my two kids. I booked my 13 year old daughter in with Wendy for a  full head of blonde foils as a surprise Birthday Present , Wendy did an amazing job and my daughter was super happy with the results and it looks amazing!! Just went and got my hair done professionally for the first time in years and Wendy was amazing! She provided great advice for my face shape and what I wanted done, and the colour is amazing! I have been visiting Wendy for 7-8 months. I am very really happy with the work she does, especially hair colouring and foils.  Before coming to My Hair & Beauty I have visited some famous salons in the city with prices over the roof. The funny thing is none of the specialists from these salons could provide me with the colour I wanted light ginger/strawberry blond with a slight touch of copper. Even though I showed lots of references and the usual answer was: 'yes, no problem, we can do that’. Every time I ended up with a tone much darker than I asked for. This was tremendously frustrating, especially considering the prices of $250-$300 for the colour I didn't want and did not ask for.  With Wendy it is different. She picked up my preferences quickly and after the very first session, I came back home with the colour I was craving for many-many years.  Good prices. Fast service. Excellent sense of colour. Always with a smile on her face.  Thank you, Wendy.

I did chemical hair straightening here but my hair are still curly. I spoke to Wendy to re-do it again but she offered no fix. I had never coloured my hair and it was healthy. 100% waste of $600 dollars.  13/July Dear Wendy,  It seems like some of the facts are misconstrued. I would be grateful If you would permit me to present the facts as they truly were.  Let’s first begin with whether my hair was damaged and if I was informed of the extent of the damage to my hair. As you may recall, I specifically mentioned that I do not want any damage to be done to my hair. As such, you recommended that I purchase a special moisturising mask that needed to be applied for a month. My permanent treatment was to begin after a month of the application of the mask. That is why I returned after a month of constant application of the moisturising mask.  Second issue is whether I had asked for a permanent treatment. As you can recall, I paid $600 for this treatment and you had specifically told me that this treatment was to last exactly 6 months to one year. Even if you are right and the treatment was to only last for 3 months, I texted you exactly after one moth and informed you that my hair is beginning to curl again. So even by your own standards, my hair treatment still does not meet the guaranteed 3 months.  It is truly disheartening of the level of dishonesty that is apparent from this business. Please heed my warning and stay away from this business!

I just want to write a review for Sophia and the team at My Hair and Beauty.  I have been going to Sophia for well over a year now for my Beauty needs. Sophia is honestly the most amazing, professional and gentle beautician I have been to since moving to Christchurch. Sophia does a wonderful job with wax and thread, has good chat and makes me feel so comfortable at every appointment. I couldn't recommend this place more, the service is great, the place is clean, the candles smell amazing and the employees are all super lovely.  5 stars from me for sure!Services:&nbsp;Body waxing

I really like their service and the ambiance of their store. It look so homie. I requested to have my hair shorten and make it thinner. The hairdresser suggested that i should have a layer kind of style and she did a marvellous job. Really professional on handling my hair and the hairdresser really does know what she was doing. They have a good pricing. I will definitely be back for my next hair apointment

Was recommended by a friend so booked in for hair cut and lip wax. Also had time for threading whilst there! Very pleased with  results. Aya gave me an amazing new hairdo and Sofia sorted my facial therapy with profession. Highly recommend and will return for more!Service:&nbsp;Hairstyling
