Worst garage ever. Went there to get a simple oil change. They wanted over $700 after telling me loads of other things were wrong with my vehicle. Went to another garage in Queenstown who told me these guys are notorious for ripping people off. As you can see the number of negative reviews on here for over pricing speaks volumes. I got my whole car fixed for under $200. Runs like a dream  now. AVOID THIS GARAGE and your wallet will certainly THANK YOU FOR IT  Response to owners message- he is a liar. His quote was that much and now he just likes to get on the computer and look good and cheap to all other unsuspecting innocent motorists that he can prey on. Avoid this garage your wallet will thank you. He will quote you for unnecessary  repairs.

I was on a holiday trip in the area and had some problem with the brakes. They were very efficient and friendly in helping despite of the disruption that I caused to the garage's scheduled workflow. I could return home safely! Thank you guys! As a plus the garage has a nice construction and atmosphere with references to old small town garages.

I would not recommend this garage. All I needed was a new radiator replaced on my van. First they tried to charge $550plus gst for a new radiator. So I ordered one from Burnside Radiators in Christchurch for $390plus gst. And they shipped it to me over night. The initial estimate said it would take 4 hours to change a radiator. Upon pick up, We were then charged for 4.5 hours of labor. So it took them 4.5 hours to change a radiator. The gentleman I spoke with at Burnside Radiators said that it should take 2.5 hours maximum, and that is if the mechanics don't know what they are doing. So if you need a new radiator or just want to save some money, I would try somewhere else.

Absolute disaster!  My bog standard 2005 Subaru Legacy Station Wagon one of the most common cars in our area threw its Cam belt back in early August.  I took it to Arrowtown Motors who replaced the Cam belt and put in some new plugs for $1822.  I picked the car up the next day and drove to work only to notice that there was steam coming out from under the bonnet and it was idling rough.  Took it back the next day to them and they said it was a loose radiator hose clip and that maybe it had a bent valve!!  They fixed the loose hose clip and then I drove off to work. Two days later the whole car engine seized and stopped completely again.  I then paid $200 to get it towed back to them and then received a phone call from them saying what did I want them to do with my car!!!  They then quoted me another approx $800 to remove the engine to see what needed to be repaired before they could quote me further what it would take to repair it.  I then received a phone call in early October saying they could not find any replacement parts for the engine in N.Z. and that the only other option was a new engine for $6000!!  Yesterday I paid another $150 to get it towed to a Garage that can fix it and then paid Arrowotwn garage the balance of $825.47.  So that was a total of $2647.69 I paid them to be left with a car that doesn't go with no engine in it.  What a joke, if I ran my business like them I'd be out of business.  Be warned.

Absolutely DO NOT go to this place. I had to get a cv joint and shaft replacement done, and they didn’t bother to put the brake fluid back in. It was just before closing and I couldn’t go back and had to drive on without working brakes not knowing it was only the brake fluid. When I called them to discuss it they hung up on me. I finally get it in somewhere and they tell me they bent the teeth on the shaft, which was part of the problem, and that they hadn’t refilled the brake fluid after they drained it. These people nearly killed me. When the mechanic called them they refused to admit they had done anything and wouldn’t cover the repair bill to fix their mistake either. They also overcharged me for the original  repair. No accountability, not good workmanship, and poor business practices . Do not give these people your business, they’ll rip you off and possibly leave your vehicle in worse shape than you brought it to them in. They shouldn’t even be in business.
