Went for lunch on Good Friday. Had the brisket burger and short rib Wellington which were incredible. Best restaurant meal we have had in ages. Also have great local craft beer on tap.
Nice country tavern with a relaxed feel to it. Staff were very friendly & helpful, with the food and service really good. Well worth the 30 - 40 minute drive from Feilding.
Friendly local tavern with nice outdoor deck at the back. Smoke their own meats - I had a brisket burger which was delicious, tender and good value. Dessert was also excellent. Well worth a detour.
Nice place. Food average. Friendly staff.
Amazing place, great service. We arrived when they were closed but still let us in and cooked us up some great trail food. Everything was awesome. Would give 6 stars if I could
Friendly barman, delicious ribs, chicken burgers and mushroom burgers! They gave us some free chips too! Great outdoor deck seating area. Highly recommend and we will be returning.
Under new ownership, should do well. Great menu. Maybe need a bigger kitchen/more staff to cope with customers... Still, settling in - adjusting. John S
Calamari Salad was awful lettuce full of salt had to spit out. Nice people although when asked how were things nothing was rectified when I announced politely the salad was salty, and I normally like salt, too much this time. Sadly won't go back.
Amazing new ownership. Great food and staff. Can't wait to see what life they breath into this place with time.
10/10 - Magical place, gourmet food, lovely staff and moa everywhere. If you haven't been here yet you haven't lived! Perfect basecamp before you head into the Ruahines for your nature fix.
