Apanui School

Such a wonderful School. The Principal and Teachers and also the Office Staff all do such a wonderful job to ensure our tamariki are well taken care of and are educated well with a lot of thought taken into how they care and help our tamariki learn. Every time I’ve been at the School and into the Office it has been a wonderful experience. Very blessed that my children get to experience there Primary School years at Apanui. I love how they incorporate the learning inside the classroom, creative learning in the maker space room and also the learning outside the classroom. The amount of outdoor activities that are available to the tamariki is phenomenal - you can tell that whoever designed the Kura they were very thoughtful in where everything was placed. Would highly recommend this Kura to anyone in Whakatane.

It's famous in our town and study is good

I visited my primary school Apanui to see for myself that it was my classroom that was part of the devastating fire. However, out of adversity comes rebirth and I understand the pupils and staff are very well supported. Kia kaha Apanui.

My Mum taught here close to 50years.From the junior school where Awanuiarangi is now,to where the main school is located.So yes I know a lot about this school.

Receptionist has very poor attitude. Unhelpful and very rude
