Story

Anything Canvas Ltd is owned and operated by Klint and Carys Brittain-Freemantle. The name ‘Freemantle’ became synonymous with the canvas goods manufacturing industry when Terry Freemantle, Klint’s father, started his own canvas business – ‘Freemantles Quality Canvas’ in Napier over 50 years ago.
Klint took up a canvas work apprenticeship with his father after leaving school and went into partnership with his father in 1992, working alongside him for 8 years. He went on to learn new production and manufacturing techniques outside of the family business and returned to the industry to start ‘Anything Canvas’ along with his wife, Carys, in April 2009. Carys' marketing and business expertise combined with Klint's design and manufacturing craftsmanship have seen Anything Canvas go from strength to strength servicing customers not only in Hawke's Bay but throughout New Zealand and now also overseas. Their belief that a basic combination of innovative design, high quality products and workmanship together with unsurpassed customer service leads to success has proven to be a winning formula for both Anything Canvas and it's customers.
