Animates Grey Lynn

My partner and I went in to Animates yesterday afternoon to buy a fish for our newly cycled tank. The girl who served us had so much knowledge and was super sweet and helpful. Not to mention she took immediate action upon letting her know I had noticed a fish swimming on its side.nnIn the end we decided on taking home this gorgeous half moon Betta whose name is now Bluey.

Great store. Went in for the groomers and they were lovely to our puppy. Great customer service. Downside is parking is sparse outside the entrance. to park in the street.

Very bad experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never go there again!nnDue to my busy work, plus there is 20 dollar voucher,so I booked grooming for my dog in Grey Lynn ,this is the second time we visit. The groomer name Yoyo a Chinese lady , she did a good job for my dog, unfortunately she left ,so I asked the staff , Abby . if there is anyone can groom the Lakeland Terrier breed ,the answer was 100% ,we even asked them if they are sure to do it a day before ,they still said YES . We even show the picture to the groomer how we want to do it on the day! So I brought my dog to the store. 3 hours later when I saw my dog, I am shocked ,it was completely different in a very bad way , the other groomer said she could give us the discount , it was $102 and now half price ,I refused to pay $50 ,it's just beacuse we can’t even ask someone to fix it, it looks really poor . The body hadn't been trimmed much as well which it never happened.nnI couldn’t make the time to the place we always go for because of the work, which they did really good job. So we ask the staff, Abby again, think she's the manager, didn't give us the solution, but kept saying they have spent time on my dog to do the job. So we ask can we use the voucher, she said we've been offered the discount, so the voucher can not be used. We said we are going to pay, but not with that standard of service. To me, the only job they did was just wash and blow dry my dog, which only take me 1 hour to do! Then all of sudden she gave us the attitude, says we are not welcomed in any Animates store, this was in front of the other customers. We got kicked out!nnSeriously?? That attitude?? So this Abby represent the whole Animates Group? Good luck to anyone who is going to visit their store for anything

Hit or Miss.nnMeh service and even more meh staff. I had an extremely unpleasant visit today where the staff just seem to be in an irritable mood. I have had great experiences here in the past but today was just “meh”. Please do yourselves a favour and drive an extra minute to visit Petstock Grey Lynn instead where the customer service is always 10/10.

Dr. Agnes Meredith and the vet nurses at Animates Vetcare Grey Lynn have been absolutely wonderful to deal with. My elderly dog developed a skin rash, and they were incredibly helpful, offering amazing advice and aftercare. This is, by far, the best veterinary team I have ever dealt with! I highly recommend them for all your pet's needs. Thank you, Animates Vetcare Grey Lynn, for your outstanding service!
