Story

About the founder of Angels Grooming Academy..

Angela Anderson is a New Zealand’s first Internationally Certified Master Groomer and also a NDGANZ certified Master Groomer having started grooming in 2000. She is also a twice certified Sasha Riess poodle grooming expert.

She owns and operates Angels Professional Grooming Centre which includes Angels Grooming Academy - New Zealand’s largest and most respected grooming academy seeing her students from for throughout New Zealand and internationally, as well as a busy grooming parlour and franchisor for Jims Dog Wash in New Zealand.

Angela has won many awards for her grooming particularly in Hand stripping, poodle class and salon freestyle and conducts seminars around New Zealand and Australia for groomers wishing to upskill or those just starting out.

Having been a member of the NZ Groomteam for several years Angela enjoyed competing in New Zealand and abroad and showing her standard poodle in the show ring prior to retiring from competition work to focus on Grooming Judging and seminars.

Her easy to understand style and thorough knowledge of the material makes Angela a popular speaker, grooming judge and certifier.

Great service and extremely affordable prices! Our little wire jack russel cross always comes out looking amazing and full of smiles. Not to mention the cute little bow she receives which she loves wearing. Not only do they provide a great service, but very knowledgeable and provide great advice when we were unsure what grooming she required. We are always coming back here.
A pleasant team who take good care of my little dog. My dog has had some skin issues, and is always treated with care and they have a gentle calm approach on pre-groom consultation. Always happy picking him up, they also have a great range of doggy apparel. Good location and safe parking away from the busy main road.
I took my 6 1/2-month-old Pomeranian Koi to this groomer and had an amazing experience! They did a fantastic job grooming him for $102 and even added a bandana. I highly recommend them.
First time taking our billy to Angels groomers, had the full groom only for $100 which is such a great deal comes with a wash, nails or fringe and full haircut! Loved the staff very careful with our billy! Will gladly take our billy here again!
Highly recommend! Massive thanks to the lovely ladies at Angels, Massey today. Our Pomeranian gets anxious quickly but once settled she’s a sweetheart. Coming from someone who have home groomed for a year due to a poor experience elsewhere, I’m thoroughly impressed! She was well taken care of.
Love bringing my girl here. I book her in with Summah as she is now familiar with my dog and her anxieties. Summah has been great to deal with and has kindly provided me with photos and hilarious footage of the grooming process. Great service and affordable too!
This team is the absolute best. I have a Persian and a Birman and the team here look after my babies like their own. They are knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely care about your animals. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you Angels Grooming team.
We have an Airedale and it’s difficult to find a good groomer to cut him correctly. Renee & Summer are both excellent and experienced with Airedales and Toby loves his visits. There are plenty of staff and they cater for cats and dogs. All pets look beautiful as they leave and most importantly very happy.
I've taken my cat here multiple times now and every single time, they've been amazing. I have a Ragdoll cross with very thick, long fur, and bring her in every few months or so to get a full deshed and a sanitary clip. Summah always does an incredible job, and returns her clean, soft, happy, and with a little bow on her collar. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Angels provide such an epic service for my dog, Rue . He’s not the easiest of dog to groom. He comes back destressed and well groomed. Very high standard of groom practices going in at angela!! Thanks guys for being a bunch of awesome human beings that look after my little guy.
