Story

About the founder of Angels Grooming Academy..

Angela Anderson is a New Zealand’s first Internationally Certified Master Groomer and also a NDGANZ certified Master Groomer having started grooming in 2000. She is also a twice certified Sasha Riess poodle grooming expert.

She owns and operates Angels Professional Grooming Centre which includes Angels Grooming Academy - New Zealand’s largest and most respected grooming academy seeing her students from for throughout New Zealand and internationally, as well as a busy grooming parlour and franchisor for Jims Dog Wash in New Zealand.

Angela has won many awards for her grooming particularly in Hand stripping, poodle class and salon freestyle and conducts seminars around New Zealand and Australia for groomers wishing to upskill or those just starting out.

Having been a member of the NZ Groomteam for several years Angela enjoyed competing in New Zealand and abroad and showing her standard poodle in the show ring prior to retiring from competition work to focus on Grooming Judging and seminars.

Her easy to understand style and thorough knowledge of the material makes Angela a popular speaker, grooming judge and certifier.

Highly recommend! Massive thanks to the lovely ladies at Angels, Massey today. Our Pomeranian gets anxious quickly but once settled she’s a sweetheart. Coming from someone who have home groomed for a year due to a poor experience elsewhere, I’m thoroughly impressed! She was well taken care of.
Love bringing my girl here. I book her in with Summah as she is now familiar with my dog and her anxieties. Summah has been great to deal with and has kindly provided me with photos and hilarious footage of the grooming process. Great service and affordable too!
Our dog is extremely fearful when going to the groomers. It got to the point that our previous groomer could no longer deal with him because he became aggressive through his fear. We couldn't find any groomer prepared to take him on until we were recommended Angels Professional Grooming Center through word of mouth. To our absolute elation the staff members who tended to our dog were actually absolute ANGELS!!! Not only did they groom him to perfection I might add but they figured out his psychology & made the whole experience for him much more pleasurable. Our dog came out so happy & we see the lasting effects in his everyday comfort. We will always use Angels Professional Grooming Center moving forward & truly can't thank the lovely 3 ladies who took such good care, soothed fears & improved our dogs life. Forever grateful for all your professional talent & skills. We HIGHLY recommend Angels Professional Grooming Center.
Took our 2 year old Maltese cross for a groom here at Angel's professional Grooming. And she came out looking amazing and so happy. They did a bloody awesome job on her would highly recommend this place. A+++++
Told us some weird story about our dog not being able to be hand stripped, when that’s the only grooming we have done with another groomer for many years. Unfortunate that we were recommended this place as it has been beyond disappointing. If you want a service you actually booked in for - this is not the place for you.
First time taking our billy to Angels groomers, had the full groom only for $100 which is such a great deal comes with a wash, nails or fringe and full haircut! Loved the staff very careful with our billy! Will gladly take our billy here again!
10/10 service, our fuzzy messy cavoodle came out looking really cute and cozy. They took great care of our dog for a really nice price.
Thank you Summer at Angels for a lovely groom. My mini Schnauzer looks so cool and comfortable now. For a first groom, my 5 month old puppy was handled confidently and professionally, coming out of the groomers happy and confident.
We were desperate to groom my baby as we went away on holiday came back my regular groomer was fully booked so we found this place we happily took my baby they did his hair cut it was so bad that my baby was in so much pain paws were bleeding one side ear was uneven shaved his front face it was just so bad that my baby was shy for nearly a week we called to complain were told the supervisor will call us till today noone has was not happy
Excellent grooming for my mini schnauzer always! She is always happy when going in, tail wagging. Thanks for making her feel comfortable!
