Haven’t been to the ‘shop’ yet but have tried some pies. A few years back I turned to a plant based diet for good reason at the time. I have found this difficult to sustain when out and about and had talked about trying meat again on several occasions. On a spontaneous urge I purchased an Andersons steak and mushroom pie from new world Stratford and loved it on the spot! The pastry was light and crispy, the meat to mushroom ratio was perfect and the gravy was just enough. I have since this also had a straight steak pie which was again perfection! The steak was tender, the pastry, crispy and the gravy, just enough! Thanks Andersons Pies for the delicious welcome back to the dark side and I shall work permitting come to your shop for a look at the whole range one day.
Driving through Hawera and popped in for a pie. Saw they did Cornish pasties so being originally from the UK had to try one. The filling was plentiful and the taste was great, really liked it. A very good interpretation, and only $4.80 at that. What’s not to like!
This pie shop is incredible, being a typical kiwi bloke i have tried a fair few pies. These pies really hit the spot. That good i went two days in a row while down here on holiday. I tried their mince and cheese, jumbo steak and cheese, jumbo steak and a steak and onion. Pastry was perfect in all of the pies. Plenty of steak in their steak pies and proper cheese, none of the cheese sauce crap you get in some pies these days. And the price, the price was really good for the quality of pie. Anderson pies keep up the good work.
I have discovered your pies in a dairy in Marton. I have to say they are the best around. Potato top is my 1st choice but the steak cheese and bacon is next in line. Thanks for the great taste and a pie that is actually full of meat. Lyn
Anderson's catering , I Highly recommend them. They had amazing service and even better food We cannot get enough of them we will even show up during the week day for their pies. I always recommend them to everyone
