We did a wine tasting here and it was great! The bar attendant was super knowledgeable and lovely! She gave us great recommendations and chatted with us while we drank. I'm not sure of her name she said she was off to France in July so I hope she is acknowledged from this feedback. The atmosphere here was great and restaurant looked very impressive.
Amazing and theatrical degustation menu experience with matching wines. A truly memorable meal! Service was excellent - professional and also friendly not stuffy at all!. Great ambiance in the dining room as well.
AN ABSOLUTE MUST VISIT. By far the best dining experience and meal i have ever had by far, having eating in all top restaurants in Australia and New Zealand. The flavours, concepts and connection, creativity and raw passion to a craft. The pricing for what it is is phenomena aswell, anywhere else in the world and they could easily charge double $$$. The pictures do NOT do it justice. At all.
Touted by some critics as NZ’s best restaurant, Amisfield well and truly lived up to the hype. This was a simply great meal, stretched out over more than 2 hours, as multiple course of superb food were delivered with superb, friendly service. They had no problems dealing with dietary issues and modified the dishes to suit. Wine parings were excellent, and a great way to experience the Amisfield range. And the setting, on the terrace looking over the vineyards with the hills above, just made this a perfect experience.
In our opinion, this is the best restaurant in New Zealand! The food is absolutely delicious and every dish hits the mark. The scenery is beautiful, making it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or special occasion. The ambience is great, with a relaxed and elegant vibe. The staff are attentive and professional, always making sure our experience is enjoyable.
One of the best dining experiences of my life. Every single dish has a story, fresh produce some they produce themselves, unique textures and flavours. I am in awe of this place and they are worth every dollar.
Just incredible. The food was excellent as you’d expect from NZ’s best restaurant but the presentation was just amazing. Up there with the best in the world. The staff were also fantastic too - attentive but not overbearing. Beautiful grounds too.
Excellent experience Taste and presentation of food is awesome. We had the degustation menu with corresponding wines which was outstanding. I think this was the most creative lunch I had so far. Staff was very attentive and professional.
We were absolutely delighted with our 11 course degustation and matching wines experience! Executive Chef Vaughan Mabee did an amazing job of combining local produce and kiwi natives to create a truly unique and enjoyable experience, especially for us international travelers. Kudos to the sommelier, Marek Przyborek, for the perfect pairings of crisp, fresh, earthy, dry, and sweet wines for each course. We couldn't have asked for a better dining experience!
Such a great experience to do wine tasting here. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. From bubble, orange wine, rose to pinot noir etc, very wide product range. $15 for 5 tastings, very good value.
