Amigos in Cromwell is a total gem! The nachos, cauliflower tacos, and fish tacos are all outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Anderson was wonderful — so welcoming and took the time to ask about our dietary preferences, which made the whole experience even better. Great vibe, friendly staff, and an awesome spot for a casual dinner with a little kick.
Amigos does it again! After absolutely loving the Wanaka location, we decided to randomly pop into this one and it did not disappoint. The fish tacos were incredible perfectly cooked, fresh, and packed with flavour. Johnny really made the visit special, serving up fantastic drinks and keeping the vibe lively with his great banter. The atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming and fun, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Everything from the food to the service felt top-notch. We hope the owner here looks after his great staff they have. Definitely a restaurant we’ll be returning to again and again!

I've been traveling in New Zealand for 8 months now and this is the best Mexican food I've had in the country. I think this place could hold its own in Albuquerque. The corn chips are perfect. The salsa actually deserves to be called salsa, rather than glorified ketchup. I had the enchiladas and my partner had the chili colorado. It was so good my partner wants to extend our stay in the area just to try the entire menu.nIn addition to the food being delicious, the service was amazing. They asked about dietary restrictions at the door and then gave me a seperate menu, which made ordering the easiest it's been for me in a long time. The staff were also incredibly gracious when I, to my great shame, knocked over an entire berry margarita. They replaced it free of charge when I would have willingly paid for both.
